Overview
Bled Forum on
Europe is a regional scientific event (initiated
in 1996) involving NGO's governmental
institutions and business sector. Main topics of
the Bled Forum on Europe are the challenges
Europe is facing today, the role of EU in the
world, the challenges to its internal
integration dynamics as well as its impact on
regional development. It is organised by the
Bled Forum Research Association and covers
fields of European and foresight studies with an
aim of anticipating and influence the future
development of the EU and its role in global and
regional context. Vision of the association is
reflected in the guiding statement “SOL
OMNIBUS LUCET / Sun shines for everyone”,
which stressed the equality between all the

With Bled Forum
on Europe events the organisers want to
contribute to the future development of European
studies and foresight research with the aim to
develop the scientific capacities for both
fields in countries where the development of the
field is only at the beginning. The aim of
events is also to provide a platform for
extensive exchange of experiences and practices
of European studies and foresight research and
policy making. Bled Forum on Europe also
facilitates the integration of different
regional and national centres into a coherent
and cooperative matching point. Therefore the
aim of the Bled Forum on Europe is to establish
synergies between existing knowledge and
capacities as well as help to develop new
capacities.
